Who we are
This policy explains how Simplemente US DBA FCPWORKS ("FCPWORKS", "we", "us") handles personal information for the Resonance app, Resonance accounts, and tryresonance.com. We're responsible for that information. You can reach us through our contact form.
What stays on your Mac
Your projects, scripts, storyboards, and edits are files on your own drive. We don't receive or store them. On-device features, such as vision analysis and Apple Intelligence, run on your Mac.
What we collect
- Mailing list. If you sign up on this website, we store your email address and the time you signed up, so we can tell you about Resonance.
- Account. When you subscribe, we create your account with your email address, your name if you give it, and the password you set. Passwords are stored only as secure hashes by our authentication provider.
- Plan and credits. Your plan, subscription status, credit balance, and a record of credit use (which model, when, and how many credits). We use this for billing, balances, and support.
- Purchases. Payments are processed by Stripe, and Link, Stripe’s merchant of record, collects your payment details and billing address. We receive your Stripe customer ID, subscription and payment IDs, country, and what you bought. We never see or store your card number.
- Generation requests. When you ask Resonance to generate a still or video, the prompt and the reference images you choose are sent to the AI model that makes it. We don't use your prompts or outputs to train models.
- Support and contact. Messages you send us through the app, by email, or with the contact form on this website (your name, email address, topic, and message). We keep them so we can reply and help you.
- Website analytics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts visits without cookies and without identifying you. Like any website host, Cloudflare processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver and protect the site.
How we use it
- to run your account, deliver generations, and keep your credit balance;
- to handle subscriptions, purchases, and refunds with Stripe;
- to send account and billing emails, and product news if you signed up for it (every product email has an unsubscribe link);
- to answer support requests, prevent fraud and abuse, and keep the Service secure;
- to meet legal and tax obligations.
We don't sell your personal information, share it for advertising, or use advertising trackers.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of service providers, each only for what's described here:
- Stripe and Link: checkout, payments, tax, receipts, subscriptions, and refunds, with Link as merchant of record. See Stripe’s privacy policy.
- Supabase: account sign-in, plan and credit records, and support messages.
- Cloudflare: website hosting, mailing-list storage, and cookieless analytics.
- AI model providers, currently reached through fal.ai: they receive the prompts and reference images for the generations you request.
- Anthropic, only if you use the Claude production assistant: that runs through your own Claude account, and Anthropic's privacy policy covers what you share with Claude.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of our users or others.
How long we keep it
We keep account, plan, and credit records while your account is open. Billing records are kept as long as tax and accounting laws require. Mailing-list emails are kept until you unsubscribe. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days, except records we're legally required to keep.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, or to stop sending you product emails. Depending on where you live, for example in California, the EU, or the UK, you may have further rights, including the right to object to or restrict some processing and to complain to your local data protection authority. Send your request through our contact form (choose Support) and we'll respond within 30 days. We won't treat you differently for using these rights.
Where EU or UK law applies, we rely on the contract with you to run your account and purchases, on our legitimate interests to keep the Service secure and improve it, on legal obligations for billing records, and on your consent for the mailing list.
Where your information is processed
We're based in the United States, and our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses, for these transfers.
Security
We use encryption in transit, access controls, and reputable providers to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.
Children
Resonance is for adults and isn't directed at children. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you think a child has given us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. For material changes, we'll let you know by email or in Resonance before they take effect.
